Day 01 : Rome
Check in, head towards Michelanelo’s Campidoglio where you can look out over the Roman Forum and ancient Rome. Take a tour of the Colosseum. Take the rest of the day discovering the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill (west of the Colosseum). A quick walk to the North of the Colosseum one can see the Golden House, where Nero once lived. At the completion of your first day stops by the Church of San Pietro in Vincoli where you can see Michelangelo’s statue of Moses. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 02 : Rome
Head over to Vatican City to spend most of your day. Start at St. Peter’s Basilica where you can get a good look at Michelange’s dome. After lunch head over to the Vatican Museum and see one of the world’s finest collections of art and antiquities, ending at the Sistine Chapel. The Sistine Chapel is a must see in Rome – Finish your visit to Rome with having dinner at one of its various outdoor restaurants! Overnight in Hotel.
Day 03: Siena
Head 143 miles North of Rome into Siena (the second largest city of Tuscany). Once you arrive in Siena, check in. The first place to visit will be the Piazza del Campo, which is the main plaza with various sites. Visit the Museo Civico and the Torre del Mangia. This is a bit of a climb to the top but it will give a breath-taking view of the city below. After this walk over to the Duomo and spend a few hours visiting the surrounding sites. You will see the Museo dell’Opera Metropolitana and the Battistero. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 04: Florence
Head to Florence (it’s only 21 miles). Visit Uffizi and then Museo dell’Opera del Duomo (before seeing the Duomo). Adventure to the top of the Duomo to get great views of Florence. After capturing the view of the city, one can visit Attistero San Giovanni and the Campanile di Giotto. On your way home you can stop in the Galleria dell’Accademia which houses the world-famous statue of David by Michelangelo. Take a stroll along Ponte Vechhio and watch the sun set. Day 05 : Florence
Spend your morning observing the works of art at the Palazzo Pitti, on the bank of the Arno and then head to the Giardini di Bobli. After lunch, cross over the river to see many sites from the Renaissance including the Cappelle Medicee. Wind down your day with a visit to the Basilica di San Lorenzo and the Palazzo Vecchio, where there is plenty of artwork. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 06 : Venice
Arrive in Venice (about 165 miles Northeast). Arrive by the vaporetto on the Grand Canal. Check In, visit Basilica di San Marco in front of the plaza. After visiting the basilica go to the Palazzo Ducale and take the Bridge of Sighs. Climb the Campanile to get city views at the top. You will be able to see the entire city and the lagoon. Take advantage of the waterfront Plenty of options of restaurants for dinner. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 09 : Venice
Today explore the best art Venice has to offer at the Gallerie dell’Accademia and the Peggy Guggenheim Collection. Go shopping on the Rialto Bridge to buy souvenirs. Stop by the San Rocco to see some of its great art and finish your day with dinner on the Lido. Overnight in Hotel.
Day 08 : Lake Como
